The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica comes with a 3.6-liter 24-valve Pentastar® V6 with Variable Valve Timing that generates 287 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque. With the nine-speed FWD automatic transmission, the EPA-estimated performances reaches 28 MPH on the highway and 18 MPG in the city. Hybrid versions get up to an EPA-estimated 80 MPGe with a range of 30 miles on EV and 530 miles on gas and electricity. When you want to pull large loads, the available Trailer Tow Group comes with a class-two hitch and two-inch receiver that allows up to 3,600 pounds of towing. The standard Electronic Stability Control constantly monitors how you steer and vehicle motion. Through LaneSense® Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, a vision sensor based on the camera compares your vehicle position with lane boundaries. If you stray from the lane without activating a turn signal, you receive a warning. The available Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking System relies on radar and video sensors to determine if you’re approaching the vehicle in front of you too quickly. The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is an all-new entry into the minivan market, which supersedes the Chrysler Town & Country. The Pacifica is sleeker, lighter, lower, with more interior space and greater structural rigidity, and includes a hybrid model option. Five trim levels are available starting with the entry-level LX, continuing to the mid-range Touring, Touring L, and Touring L Plus, and ending with the top-of-the-line Limited.
